A lot of things are wondering in your mind . Right?
But do not worry, you are at the right place. Your all confusions will be cleared in this article.
this article is research based.

Let me ask a questions.

Q1. Why did you decide for UPSC? or What made you think about UPSC?

You are supposed not to lie yourself.

okay . Forget it .
But i asked this question because i have answer of this question.
Find a reason of why did you decide for UPSC.
Always keep that in your mind when you are going to study. It will motivate you and the fact of UPSC is that you can not achieve your goal without motivation. Run behind the reason.

Now start with first step.
Get syllabus first of all. Analysis of syllabus is  most important thing.
Then get previous year papers of UPSC.
Click here to get Prelims Previous year question papers.
Click here to get Mains Previous year question papers.
Analysis of papers is also important task before your start preparation.

Then follow below steps. (I will tell you in short , Comment below if you want in  detail.)

  • Read NCERTs before you go for standard books. And you need not to make notes of NCERTs because it is just for basic concepts. Although if you want notes you can go with our notes.
  • Click here to get NCERT notes.
  • As soon as you complete NCERTs then your next target is to choose your optional subject. Because optional plays a very important role in your final selection and to score better.
  • After choosing optional complete your optional subject first of all.
  • As soon as you complete your optional go for general studies and keep syllabus in your mind while you prepare for general studies.
  • Read newspaper on daily basis. And if you do not want to read newspaper it's okay. Just follow any one monthly magazine for current affairs .
  • Do not follow many sources. just keep your sources limited and revise them again and again.
